How-to-Measure Guide for Mount Kits
1) Eyelet Dimension. The brand of shock determines if you need a 12 or 12.7mm Mount Kit. If your brand isn’t listed you need to measure the internal diameter of the eyelet bushing (after removing the mount kit).
| Eyelet Bushing Internal Diameter |

2) Mount Kit Dimensions (e.g. M8x22). Mount kits are available with 6, 8 or 10mm bolt hole diameter (3/8" option on Santa Cruz) and various widths from 15.8 - 80mm to match your frame. So an M8x22 has a 8mm hole with 22mm overall width. Photos below show how to measure your existing mount kit or frame.
Why Heavy Duty Mount Kits?
Heavy Duty Mount Kits last up to 60% longer that standard (reducer/top hat) mount kits. We supply them individually because mount kits wear at different rates. Mount kits attached to the swing-arm or linkage are subject to more rotation and sometimes mud, so usually wear 5 to 10 times faster than the main frame mount kit. By supplying them individually you can replace just the mount kit that is worn, saving money and the environment. We do NOT sell standard (reducer/top-hat type) mount kits, see photo on right-hand side below. Order Heavy Duty Mount Kits here.
What about the Ultralight Mount Kits?
TF Tuned also offer ultralight mount kits in a variety of sizes for those of you who are weight-conscious. The kits are comprised of the same parts as our heavy duty mount kits, but use lighter materials. A heavy duty mount kit in 12.7, 8x40mm weighs 30 grams - the lightweight version weighs just over half that at 16 grams. The kits also come with gold-anodized Racingbros branded spacers. These kits are only available in standard sizes. The kits are available in our online shop - just click here.
More about Eyelet Bushings
As well as size variations, we also offer eyelet bushings in different materials. We recommend polymer eyelet bushings for heavy-duty mount kits as they resist deterioration under cleaning with chemicals (e.g. Muc-Off), and usually last longer, and supply this type with our mount kits. However, we also supply metal bushings if you prefer, check out here.
