PUSH-ed Rear Shocks

We think that the PUSH-ed Van RC 2012 is an excellently-priced shock with all the key features you would expect on a performance coil shock; a better big-hit performance than the Van R and more user-tuneable, but for further improvements the PUSH Factory Tuning is the icing on the cake. If you mainly want it to hold up whilst pedalling, PUSH internals can be tuned to do it. If you mainly want it to be super-plush for freeride/DH riding, PUSH can be tuned to do it. Or if you just want it to respond well in general trail riding, we can tune it for that.

The PUSH Factory Tuning upgrade on the 2010 DHX 4.0 enables us to tailor the internals closely to your riding style, weight and bike and this shows in improved compression and, in particular, rebound damping. We remove the piston bolt, piston assembly and existing bottom-out pad and replace them with PUSH parts to make the ride feel a lot more taught and predictable. It stops the 'flat tyre' feeling in some situations by stopping the shock packing down on repeated big hits giving a less harsh feel. It also allows the shock to be set up in a fairly linear way as the longer, tunable conical PUSH bottom-out pad controls the end of the stroke. The improvement is most noticeable when banging it down fast, rocky sections where the smoother feel allows greater control with result that you can go faster. The Float R is a great value, reliable air shock. The PUSH Factory Tuning further improves the compression and rebound damping to give a really smooth ride, and enables us to tailor the shim stack to you and your bike. For example, the PUSH piston allows the shock to respond quicker in high-speed, repetitive bumps. There is also a smoother transition from the 'Platform' to the bump absorption mode giving a lighter, less indexed feel whilst resisting its tendency to blow through the travel. All aspects of the damping can be tuned to suit specific bike designs and rider weight. Float R prices include the correct mount kits and set-up so you can bolt it straight on & ride. The 2012 Float R 215 x 64mm has a High Volume air can.
